Well, sorry it's been awhile, but I have been on sabbatical at the Sugar Oaks retreat center and sweat lodge in Vermont for the past six months. Let me tell you guys, it was worth it! I feel more in touch with myself than ever before- both my feminine and masculine sides (grrrrr!) have been filled to the brim with self esteem and I am ready to listen to and project empathy, to you, the gentle and misguided reader of this board.
First, though, I do have some housecleaning to do. I first must apologize for not being here for you to hear your shrill shrieks of pain and anguish, to watch you tear your garments as you heard the terrible and unexpected news that one our nation's forefathers, a true national treasure who has been and even more so now, is actually worshipped as a god by 3 million people, has passed away. Yes, Don Knotts is dead. And for those of you still grasping at the hope that this is all just a terrible hoax. I must let you down as easily as I know how, that it is the terrible truth.
And as if the world could stand another tradgedy of this magnitude, I have learned that the beloved angel Anna Nicole's son has been take up to heaven to be with Jesus and the angels as well. How could something so senseless happen to someone so full of love?
When I heard the news, I locked myself in the bathroom of the Long John Silvers I was patronizing and wept with abandon. I was finally physically removed from the establishment and thrown to the ground in the parking lot, where I continued to wail and gnash my teeth until I was forced to leave the parking lot as well. I crawled to a nearby Office Depot and curled up on a shelf behind some trapper keepers and gently sobbed for a period of three days. I am sure some of you had a similar reaction to the news and I would love to help you with your grief.
Hang in there baby
